The MPI magnetic pole detector is used to identify the poles of permanent magnets: neodymium, ferrite, alnico, samarium-cobalt. The poles are identified using Hall sensors. The exceptional sensitivity of the sensors allows the detection of magnet polarity in a range as low as 5 [mT] (50 Gs). The detector is equipped with two LEDs indicating the type of pole detected: ‘N’ or ‘S’. The green diode indicates the ‘S’ magnetic pole and the red diode the ‘N’ magnetic pole. The device comes with an instruction manual in Polish and a one-year warranty. Small dimensions make it fit in a pocket. The detector is powered by a AAA 1.5V battery.
