The magnetic materials used to produce neodymium magnets have a very high coercivity. This means that they are very resistant to demagnetisation by a magnetic field of opposite polarity. This neodymium rod magnet is made of a material with a coercivity of approximately 900 [kA/m]. It is not easy to demagnetise it with a magnetic field, but unfortunately it is easy to demagnetise it by exposing it to high temperatures.
