The TSW series magnetic table is designed for clamping workpieces made of materials with low magnetic induction, weakly attracted by magnets ( knives and carbide blades). The magnetic field, is permanent and cannot be switched off. The magnetic chuck has a chequered arrangement of magnetic fields (circular magnets in a brass plate). The lower plate used for fixing the table is made of St3s structural steel and can be fixed to another magnet or electromagnet.
On the two sides, there are (detachable) stop strips for additional protection of the workpieces against displacement.
Placing items with a high iron content (various types of steel) on the table can damage the table surface and make it impossible to detach such an item.
Steel plates up to 2 mm thick can be used to further strengthen the handle. It is important to ensure that the pieces of sheet metal have blunted edges otherwise this will scratch the surface when attempting to slide them off the table (such pieces should be slid using wooden blocks).
The clamping force depends on the following factors:
type of material being clamped (the higher the iron content, the greater the clamping force);
surface roughness of the table and workpiece - the lower the roughness, the greater the clamping force;
thickness of the clamped workpiece - the greater the thickness, the better)
On request, we manufacture magnetic tables according to customer requirements.
