This small rod neodymium magnet has a galvanic coating. The coating of our magnets consists of three layers: nickel, copper and nickel again. This coating only provides good protection against corrosion in temporarily damp environments. Neodymium magnets should never be stored in water for a long period of time, otherwise they will be damaged.
